Shared Campus Summer School · 2023
The 2023 summer school took the submarine cable network—the largely invisible backbone of global digital communication—as its point of departure. Students in Singapore, Trondheim and Zurich examined the physical and virtual infrastructures that make remote artistic exchange possible.
Through daily work with a real-time telematic toolkit, participants explored hybridity, intimacy, synthesis, symbiosis and resistance. The resulting works connected the three stages in a final simultaneous performance.
Faculty
Benjamin Burger, Takuro Mizuta Lippit, Alexandra Murray-Leslie and Timothy O’Dwyer, with invited guests.
